Greater Shepparton residents will have the opportunity to celebrate Easter this year by taking part in the egg-cellent Egg-Stravaganza Egg Hunts at Kidstown on 16, 17 and 18 April.
Greater Shepparton Mayor, Cr Kim O’Keeffe said she has been liaising with the Easter Bunny in the lead up to this year’s hunt.
“He has told us that he will take some time out from his busy schedule to call in and see all of the boys and girls at Kidstown,” she said.
The Easter Egg-Straveganza Hunts promise to be bigger than ever before in 2019, with more activities, prizes and most importantly – chocolate.
“There are going to be six huge Easter egg hunts across three days starting on Tuesday 16 April, with more than 10,000 Easter eggs up for grabs,” Cr O’Keeffe said.
“Children will have plenty to do throughout the day with a jumping castle and miniature railway train rides running on every day of the program.
“The train will make its way around the landscaped miniature train track, giving the children a chance to take in the views of Kidstown’s five-acre adventure playground.”
The Easter Bunny will make an appearance at the start of each hunt and will hang around for photos while the hunts are happening.
A $3.00 registration fee is required for the Easter Egg Hunt, or $5.00 if participants wish to have a go on the miniature train ride.
“We can’t wait to see all the children of Greater Shepparton at this year’s Easter EGG-Stravaganza at Kidstown,” Cr O’Keeffe said.
“We encourage everyone to come to Kidstown for the egg hunts and see all the children’s faces light up as they kick off this year Easter school holidays.”
