Greater Shepparton City Council advises that works on Stage 3 of the Echuca Road shared path have commenced.
The works are an outcome of the Greater Shepparton Cycling Strategy, which provides direction on the construction of recreational paths, commuter cycling network paths and on-road cycling lanes.
The Echuca Road shared path construction has been broken up into 4 stages, with Stage 1 undertaken in the 2020/2021 financial year, Stage 2 completed in the 2021/2022 financial year and Stage 3 taking place in the 2022/2023 financial year.
The shared path extends north from McLennan Street along the Echuca Road eastern separator, concluding at Knight Street. The works will include demolition, construction of the concrete shared path, as well as kerb, channel, signage and holding rail reinstatement.
The upgrades are expected to take approximately three weeks and will not impact traffic movement.
Council asks residents to take note of traffic directions and thanks them for their patience while the works are undertaken.
