The festival will feature hot food for lunch, multicultural food products to take home, music and entertainment, children’s activities and a community soccer match with Victoria Police and emergency services.
Greater Shepparton Mayor Dennis Patterson said the festival helps to raise awareness of the range of cultures we have here in Greater Shepparton.
“The traders in St Georges Road represent a range of cultures and this event gives the wider community the opportunity to celebrate our multicultural community,” Cr Patterson said
“The first festival last year was so successful so it is exciting to see how we can build on that.
“I encourage people to come along with their families and enjoy the food and entertainment. There will also be an opportunity to provide ideas and feedback for the St Georges Road Community Plan.”
“This event highlights the variety in our major events program and highlights our region’s diversity in making Greater Shepparton an attractive events city and a great place to live, work, play and visit”
The St Georges Road Food Festival is on Sunday 27 September between 11am and 4pm.
