Flood outlook and recovery community information sessions

Two community information sessions will be hosted by Greater Shepparton City Council for Murchison, Toolamba and Mooroopna residents next week to provide an update on the current outlook for flooding, flood recovery actions, and how to be emergency ready.

The sessions will be held on:

  • Tuesday 11 July at 6.00pm – Murchison Community Centre, 10 Watson Street Murchison
  • Wednesday 12 July at 6.00pm – Mooroopna Education and Activity Centre, 23 Alexandra Street, Mooroopna

The sessions will be delivered by Council in partnership with VicSES, Goulburn Murray Water, and the Goulburn Broken Catchment Management Authority.

The topics covered will include updates on weather predictions, water releases, and river levels.

Community members will also learn about how to manage basic emergency preparation, warning messages and what they mean, flood levels and flooding patterns for our riverine area.

Residents are invited to attend with no need to RSVP, light refreshments will be provided.
