Greater Shepparton City Council is pleased to invite employers across the Goulburn Valley to attend a series of free information sessions in June to learn more about the Goulburn Valley Designated Area Migration Agreement (GV DAMA) and how it can support local workforce needs.
In Summary
Sessions will be held in Cobram, Echuca and Shepparton and will provide local businesses with an opportunity to learn about recent updates to the GV DAMA, including newly approved occupations and concessions requested by local industry.
The sessions are designed for employers in the Greater Shepparton, Campaspe and Moira regions and will include presentations from the Department of Home Affairs, the Victorian Government and VETASSESS, followed by a Q&A session.
Mayor, Councillor Shane Sali, said the sessions would provide valuable insights for businesses facing workforce shortages.
“The GV DAMA is a tailored migration program that is helping regional employers attract and retain skilled workers,” he said.
“These information sessions are a great opportunity to hear directly from key government representatives and receive practical advice about how to access the program.”
The GV DAMA Skilled Migration Information Sessions will be held at the following locations:
