Converge on the Goulburn will be back again for 2024, showcasing Greater Shepparton’s cultural diversity on Friday 12 and Saturday 13 April. For the first time, the event will also see community activations held in the lead up, with these beginning from Monday 8 April.
Partnering with the Shepparton Festival to bring together an outstanding stage, Converge on the Goulburn will feature an extended event program with more experiences, stories, learnings and activities for everyone to enjoy.
Greater Shepparton City Council is currently on the lookout for community members who would like to be involved in the event in a variety of ways. Expressions of interest will be open from today, Wednesday 7 June 2023, until Friday 14 July 2023.
Greater Shepparton City Council Mayor, Councillor Shane Sali, said the festival is a great opportunity to bring the community together, invite our extended families and friends and celebrate our diverse region.
“Converge on the Goulburn is a truly unique festival for the region and the state, focusing on our people, culture and way of life,” he said.
“I highly encourage anyone who loves connecting with the community to submit an expression of interest to be part of this wonderful event.”
Council invites people to join the festival, connect with the community and be ready for a multicultural and First Nation’s two-day celebration like no other.
Expressions of interest are now open. If you are interested in being part of Converge on the Goulburn, please go to visit Shaping Greater Shepparton.
