Greater Shepparton City Council is excited to announce the inclusion of a brand new music event to the major events calendar.
Committed to supporting events dedicated to the local arts, music, food and culture of the region, for the first time in 2019 Greater Shepparton City Council presents Goulburn Vibes.
Goulburn Vibes is an outdoor live music event which will showcase local performers in an intimate setting among the rustic bushlands behind Victoria Park Lake.
Presenting in April, entry to the event is free, and will offer catering that can be purchased from food trucks and a sectioned off licensed bar area.
Greater Shepparton City Council Mayor Councillor Kim O’Keeffe said the inclusion of the event would broaden the audience on the Major Events and Tourism Calendar.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to support locals and provide more music and cultural events to Greater Shepparton,” Cr O’Keeffe said.
“It will be a relaxing night underneath the gum trees listening to great local music.”
Council’s Manager Economic Development Anthony Nicolaci said Goulburn Vibes was responding to feedback from the local community wanting to see more live music and the growing success of arts and cultural events in the region.
“Council is always looking to grow its calendar of events to support locals improving the region‘s livability and attracting visitors,” Mr Nicolaci said.
“Following the success of Converge on the Goulburn and the recent announcement of the new Large Scale Music Festival which will be held in November, Goulburn Vibes is the latest addition of local events and we hope to see it grow in the future.”
Council also encourages families to attend and enjoy the children’s activities which will be available at the event.
