The Greater Shepparton Women’s Charter Award recognises and celebrates the achievements of a woman or women in Greater Shepparton. The Award celebrates those whose stories, contributions and actions have inspired and encouraged others to reach their goals, through embracing diversity and making a difference on gender equality.
Greater Shepparton City Council Mayor, Councillor Shane Sali, encouraged residents to nominate a deserving woman.
“You can nominate your family members, colleagues and friends for the Award, and you are not limited to one nomination. You may know many local women who deserve recognition,” he said.
“Nominating is simple and accessible, with forms available on Council’s website and at the Council offices. Let’s come together to recognise and applaud the inspiring women among us.”
Councillor Representative and Champion of the Women’s Charter Advisory Committee, Cr Dinny Adem, said the Award provides a valuable platform to celebrate how women have positively shaped our community.
“Take this chance to nominate the women you know who makes a significant contribution to our community.
We have heard many stories of women and the positive impacts that they have had throughout Greater Shepparton and we want to recognise them,” he said.
