Help rescue a homeless Pet adoption day on Saturday

The Greater Shepparton City Council’s Animal Shelter is holding a pet adoption day at Pets Domain this Saturday 5 March from 10am – 1pm.

Following a recent successful pet adoption day in January Council is partnering with Pets Domain to find new homes for cats and dogs. All animals come vet checked, desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and treated for worms and fleas.

Greater Shepparton residents can visit Pets Domain in Benalla Road to learn about the process and benefits of adopting a shelter animal, as well as meet animals looking for a new forever home.

Greater Shepparton City Council Manager Citizens Services, Laurienne Winbanks said it was important to ensure that the animal’s new home will be forever.

“Animal Shelter and Pets Domain staff focus on matching the right animal with the right home,” she said.

“Experienced staff are available to offer assistance and guidance to anyone interested in adopting a shelter pet. Adopting an animal from the Shepparton Animal Shelter is a rewarding experience that will last a lifetime.”

The price to adopt an animal is $100 for cats and $305 for dogs. Animals for adoption are listed on the Council’s website.
