Greater Shepparton City Council would like to advise of planned road safety improvement works in Katandra West. The works will be undertaken on Labuan Road, including the intersection of Labuan Road and Katandra Main Road.
The works were originally scheduled for early February, but postponed due to supply chain issues. Works will now commence on Tuesday 15 March 2022 with planned completion in late June 2022.
Construction will take place between 7am and 6pm weekdays; and 7am and 1pm Saturdays, when required.
Works will be staged to limit disruption, with preliminary works commencing in March before construction works to Labuan Road North, Katandra Main Road and Labuan Road South. These important safety works are funded by the Australian Government’s Blackspot Program.
There will be changed conditions throughout the duration of the works and traffic control will be in place. Katandra Main Road will be subject to partial lane closures, with temporary traffic lights in place to allow one-way traffic to move through the intersection during construction works. Road closures will also be in place along both Labuan Road South and North.
Council asks road users to obey traffic management signage and detours during this time. Council would like to thank local residents for their patience while these works are being completed.
