Learn how Council’s Community Grants can support your idea – Join our Online Information Session

Council will host a Community Grants Online Information Session on Monday 21 July 2025 at 6.00pm, open to community groups, clubs and not-for-profit organisations.
The session will provide practical tips on applying, a breakdown of grant categories, and a live Q&A to help participants better understand the 2025/2026 Community Grants Program.
There are 10 different grant categories available, supporting events, infrastructure, arts, culture, sport, heritage, inclusion and more.
Applications are now open and close at 12.00pm on Monday 18 August 2025. Late submissions will not be accepted.

The session will offer practical advice on how to apply, explain the different grant categories on offer, and highlight the benefits these grants can bring, not just to applicants, but to the wider community.

There are 10 different grant programs available, covering areas such as events, infrastructure, inclusion, arts and culture, sport, heritage, and more.

Mayor, Councillor Shane Sali, said the online session is the best way to understand the full range of grant opportunities and how they can turn local ideas into real outcomes.

“These grants are a fantastic opportunity for community groups and organisations to get projects off the ground, whether that’s an event, an upgrade, or a creative new initiative,” he said.

“If you are not quite sure what the grants cover or how they can benefit your group or idea, I urge you to attend the online information session. It does not go for long, but you will walk away with a clear understanding of what is on offer and how to apply.”

The session is open to anyone interested in learning more and will include a live Q&A, tips on grant writing, and a breakdown of each grant category.
