Greater Shepparton City Council’s drainage investigation and modelling for the Lenne Street Drainage Catchment is progressing and we now have stormwater drainage improvement plans to discuss with the community.
Following the flooding event in October 2022, Council engaged a consultant to investigate the existing stormwater drainage network in the Lenne Street catchment and understand the drainage issues. Drainage modelling was then undertaken and designs for stormwater drainage improvements have been developed.
Council is inviting the residents in Lenne Street and surrounding roads (shown within the blue boundary on the plan below) to attend an information drop-in session to discuss the drainage improvement plans, and provide feedback and comments.
The drop-in session will be held on Friday 27 October 2023 from 5.00pm to 7.00pm at Mooroopna Education and Activity Centre (MEAC), 23 Alexandra Street, Mooroopna, VIC 3629. Residents are welcome to drop-in during this timeframe to discuss the proposed drainage improvement plans.
Residents who are unable to attend are encouraged to contact Council by emailing council@shepparton.vic.gov.au or phoning (03) 5832 9700.
