More Community Grants available for Greater Shepparton

Greater Shepparton City Council has continued its support for the community by opening a further three grants under Round 1 of the 2020 Community Grants.

The newest grants available are:

  • Major and Minor Events Grants ($500-$5000 per applicant)
  • Small Town Festive Event Grants ($500-$2500 per applicant)
  • Australia Day 2021 Grants ($500-$3000 per applicant)

Much like the Community Matching, Community Arts and Our Sporting Future Grants, which opened on 1 July 2020, the grants will have a particular focus on assisting organisations impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Funding applications for events must take into account COVID-19 restrictions.

The grants opened on Monday 27 July and will close Wednesday 26 August at 5pm.

As one of 29 measures in Stage 2 of the Greater Shepparton Economic Response to COVID-19 Package, Council is aiming to support organisations that have been heavily impacted by the virus, or are supporting other community groups in the recovery phase of the pandemic.

Those interested in discussing their application directly with Council’s Grants Coordinator can phone (03) 5832 5218 to make an appointment.
