New Service Club Signs for Greater Shepparton

Greater Shepparton City Council, in partnership with service clubs from across the region, has erected three new service signs in distinct locations around town.

The old service sign on Benalla Road has been removed and replaced in a new, more visible location on the same road, while signs have also been positioned on Melbourne Road and Numurkah Road respectively.

Each sign features 16 logos representing service clubs that contribute positively to the Greater Shepparton community.

Council’s Director Sustainable Development, Geraldine Christou, said it is great to see the local service clubs getting the recognition they deserve.

“These clubs are the backbone of our community,” she said.

“The old sign on Benalla Road had become a little worn, so I am pleased to see it replaced and the others added in.

“We now have 16 clubs proudly displayed in three spots across the municipality.”

Rotary Club of Shepparton President, Jenny Sim, said the club was pleased be involved in the project.

“The Rotary Club of Shepparton is proud to have been instrumental in working with Council to achieve this positive result for all the service organisations,” she said

“We thank the Council for their support on the project.”
