New shared path to connect Sanctuary Drive to River Road West

Greater Shepparton City Council continue to connect and extend the shared pedestrian and cycling path network across the region with a new pathway along the Goulburn Valley Highway

The existing shared path network winds its way from the north of Shepparton, at Water's Reserve, south along the Goulburn River to the centre of the city, west to Mooroopna and south to Kialla Lakes.

The new 650m long section of path will extend the network south connecting Kialla Lakes and Seven Creeks Estate to Emerald Bank and Rivera Park Estate and is expected to be completed in April 2022, weather permitting.

The project includes a 20 metre boardwalk and 13 metre bridge across Waterbird Creek.

Director Infrastructure Gary Randhawa said Council were pleased to have received positive feedback from the community about the recent upgrades to the shared path network.

“The network allows both visitors and locals to live active lifestyles and explore the natural beauty of the region,” he said.
