Greater Shepparton City Council is pleased to announce that the design and construction of the new Tatura Skate Park has been awarded to Drover Projects Pty Ltd, under delegation.
In Summary
Drovers Projects Pty Ltd bring 17 years of expertise in skate park design and construction, and a team consisting of professional skateboarders, BMX riders, and mountain bikers that bring extensive knowledge and experience to the project.
A second community consultation session will be held soon to present two skate park design options, which have been developed based on community feedback. Following the outcome of this session, the preferred skate park design will be developed.
Site preparation works are set to commence shortly at Mactier Gardens Precinct, Memorial Place, Tatura, with the installation of fencing and the decommissioning of the existing skate park elements in preparation for construction.
Mayor, Councillor Shane Sali, is pleased to see the project moving forward.
"The new Tatura Skate Park will be a fantastic asset for our community, providing a modern and inclusive space for skaters, BMX riders, and scooter enthusiasts of all skill levels," he said.
"We are excited to see this project move forward and thank the community for their valuable input in shaping the design. This is an exciting step towards creating a vibrant recreational hub for Tatura."
Councillor Rod Schubert, also highlighted the importance of the project.
"With Drover Projects' experience and the community's input, this new skate park is shaping up to be a dynamic space that meets the needs of our diverse users," he said.
"This project not only brings a modern facility to Tatura but also strengthens our commitment to creating spaces that foster community connection and active lifestyles for all."
