Greater Shepparton City Council would like to advise of the construction of a new storm water pump station between Pine Road and Orchard Circuit Basin commencing Thursday 7 April.
Construction will occur during the normal working hours of 7am and 6.00pm weekdays, and 7am and 1pm Saturdays, when required. Works are scheduled for completion in May 2022, weather and operational factors permitting.
The new pump station has been designed to increase the outflow capacity of the existing Orchard Circuit pump station that serves both the Orchard Circuit and Pine Park Estates.
The primary objective of this project is to mitigate the occurrence of storm water inundation occurring to the streets adjoining Orchard Circuit after significant storm events.
While every effort has been made to minimise disruptions to residents and road users, some inconveniences will occur due to the nature of the works.
Council asks that road users to obey any traffic management signage or directives and would like to thank local residents for their patience while this project is being completed.
For further information please contact the Projects Department on 5832 9700 or email projects@shepparton.vic.gov.au.
