The upgrade of the recreational path network along The Flats has been delayed due to inclement weather and is now expected to be completed by the end of August, subject to favourable weather conditions.
This project is an upgrade of an existing culturally significant track on the floodplain known as The Flats, adjacent to the Peter Ross Edwards causeway near Mooroopna.
The extensions to the path will provide additional opportunities for the community to experience more of our riverine and bushland environment.
The upgrade will formalise the track with an environmentally friendly crushed concrete surface making it more accessible for cyclists and pedestrians. The track will be accompanied by new signage on the Shared Path between Shepparton and Mooroopna to mark its location.
Please note: The path will continue to be closed during the works.
