Public Toilet renewal works commence at CWA Gardens in Dookie

Works will commence on Tuesday 19 April at the CWA Gardens in Mary Street, Dookie in preparation for the construction of new prefabricated toilet facilities as part of the Greater Shepparton City Council’s Public Toilet Renewal Program.

The old public toilet facilities within the gardens will be unavailable throughout these works from Tuesday 19 April until approximately late June 2022.  Temporary toilet facilities catering to all abilities have been located east of the gardens in the car park and will remain available for the duration of the works.

Council has engaged ASCO Group (Aust) Pty Ltd to supply the new prefabricated toilet facilities.

Access to the CWA Gardens, playground and BBQ facilities will be unavailable on Thursday 21 April and Friday 22 April while demolition of the existing toilet block is undertaken. Partial access to the gardens will resume from late Friday 22 April with temporary fencing remaining in place around the demolition site

Greater Shepparton City Council Director Infrastructure Gary Randhawa said, “Having safe, clean toilet facilities suitable for all members of the community available will ensure the gardens can be fully enjoyed.”
