The Regional Pop Up Concert Tour is coming to town, hitting Shepparton on Saturday 29 November, on a three day tour that will also visit Albury and Ballarat. It will bring with it some of the rising talent of Australian music, who will engage with local audiences and performers in a free, community, live music event.
Coming to perform in Shepparton will be Marlisa and Samantha Jade, both previously featured on the popular talent search TV show ‘The X Factor’.
The event will take place at the Victoria Lake Park in Shepparton on Saturday 29 November, kicking off with some of Shepparton’s talented local artists from 11.30am, and with the main performers taking the stage from 1.00pm.
Marlisa Ann became the youngest ever contestant to win the X Factor Australia when she took out the 2014 season this year, at just 15 years old. She then released her winners single ‘Stand By You’ which debuted at number 2 on the ARIA charts, followed by her self titled debut album, which entered the charts at number six.
After a determined struggle with the music industry, Samantha Jade broke through after winning the 2012 season of the show, subsequently releasing her winner's single ‘What You’ve Done To Me’ which debuted at number one. She has also since developed her acting career, appearing as Kylie Minogue in the TV mini-series INXS: Never Tear Us Apart’.
Both performers will be having ‘meet and greet’ sessions after their performances at the event, giving fans the chance to have a chat, get an autograph and take a photo.
The Regional Pop Up Concert Tour will see music events like this one popping up throughout regional areas all over NSW and Victoria, and bringing a range upcoming stars to interact with their regional fans and fellow performers. It aims to bring free concerts to communities, promote Australian music and develop local talent.
The tour is presented by Greater Shepparton City Council and brought to Shepparton by Mobile Stage Truck, Sony Music, Sanity Music, and supported by Star FM, Word & Mouth and Headspace.
So be sure to stake your place on the grass at the Victoria Park Lake and enjoy free family entertainment and great live music.
