Roadworks Purcell Street and St Georges Road, Shepparton (2 June – 16 June, 2021)

Greater Shepparton City Council advises the community of upcoming roadworks scheduled at the intersection of Purcell Street and St Georges Road, Shepparton from Wednesday 2 June to Wednesday 16 June, 2021 between the hours of 7am to 7pm weather permitting.

The works include the installation of a median for pedestrian refuge on Purcell Street to improve pedestrian safety under the Safe Travel in Local Streets program.

Thoroughfare access via St Georges Road will not be interrupted. However entry/exit from Purcell Street to St Georges Road will be closed for the duration of works. Commuters are asked to utilise Vaughan Street as an alternative route. Access to businesses and residences adjacent to the works will be maintained.

Council requests that Motorists be aware of changed conditions and take additional care when travelling in this area during the works.
