The program for the upcoming Shepparton Health and Wellbeing Event has been released and Greater Shepparton City Council is gearing up for a day focused around reconnecting attendees with their own health and wellbeing journeys.
The event, to be held on Sunday 29 October 2023 at Riverlinks Eastbank in Shepparton, will be open from 9am to 4pm with attendees able to browse the variety of stalls and engage with local exhibitors.
The packed program of events will see workshops begin at 9.30am and run through until 3.30pm, with the schedule ensuring there is something on offer for everyone. The program features activities for those wanting to move their bodies and connect their minds, learn more about their health journeys, get creative, or listen to an intimate talk on women’s health.
Attendees interested in moving their body and mind can take part in a gym circuit or silent workout, enjoy a connected tea ceremony and meditation, or put on some roller skates or headphones and take part in one of the two disco events.
Those wanting to come away from the event more knowledgeable and empowered can tune in to one of eight talks throughout the day on a range of topics including preventing and recovering from burnout, food myth busting, infant and child CPR, LGBTIQA+ identities and sexuality, breathwork, heart health and sleep habits. Creative workshops will also run throughout the day, including beaded tassel keychains and forever bloom arrangements.
Council’s Team Leader Marketing, Liz Connick, said the program was sure to have something on offer for everyone attending the event.
“We have curated an impressive program with a wide variety of activities to cater for everyone and whatever individual health journey they are on,” she said.
“The event focuses on local exhibitors, along with new and diverse providers in the health and wellbeing field, and the workshop presenters are experts in showcasing all things health and wellbeing.”
Registrations for the event open at 9am on the day, with attendees encouraged to arrive at this time to check in, collect a tote bag filled with free gifts and explore the local exhibitors ahead of the workshops beginning.
