Tuesday 2nd of September, 2025,
Greater Shepparton City Council is excited to launch the 2025 Spring edition of its popular Activities in the Park program, running from September to November and packed with exciting free and low-cost events across Greater Shepparton.
The program makes the most of the longer days and warmer weather, with more than 65 events designed to bring people together and encourage healthy, active lifestyles. Highlights this spring include the Mosaic Festival at Victoria Park Lake, the AFL Grand Final Festival in Mooroopna, Salsa in the Park, Go Kart Tours, a Smoothie Bike Challenge, Wildlife Wonders, Little Hooves Petting Adventures, family-friendly activities at KidsTown and more.
‘Disruption’, an immersive art experience showcasing the vision and creativity of young people across Greater Shepparton, is also featured in the spring flyer and will be held in October 2025. For more information and updates about Disruption, visit the Resilience in Recovery Facebook page.
Alongside major events, the program offers regular opportunities to get outdoors and active with Puff Walks twice weekly, Messy Play sessions, Let’s Get Active mornings, Tweens Yoga and a variety of creative workshops. Many activities are held in smaller towns including Tatura, Toolamba, Dookie, Congupna, Merrigum, Tallygaroopna and Murchison, ensuring the whole region can participate.
Mayor, Councillor Shane Sali, encouraged people of all ages and abilities to take part in the program and make the most of our local parks and facilities this spring.
“Spring is the perfect time to step outside and enjoy everything our community has to offer,” he said.
“This program makes it easy for people to connect with others, try something new and experience our wonderful parks and open spaces. With more than 65 activities on offer, there is truly something for everyone this season.”
For updates on the activities, residents and visitors can get their copy of the program flyer by visiting the Activities in the Park website or following Activities in the Park on Facebook and Instagram.
