Greater Shepparton City Council encourages community members and visitors, to head down to the Greater Shepparton Visitor Centre and meet the extra special Jurassic guest currently on display until Monday 24 June 2024.
In Summary
This giant adult Tyrannosaurus Rex model designed to be a photo opportunity, is part of Zoos Victoria’s current promotional activity ‘Dinos at the Zoo’, an immersive experience across four Zoos Victoria’s locations: Melbourne Zoo, Werribee Open Range Zoo, Healesville Sanctuary and Kyabram Fauna Park.
Greater Shepparton City Council Mayor, Councillor Shane Sali, encouraged locals and visitors to grab the family and have a roaring good time at the Visitor Centre.
“Get the kids and come down to the Visitor Centre, take a selfie with the T-Rex and have a good time with the family, this is a great activity to create fun memories.”
“Make a day out of this experience and get some recommendations from the wonderful staff at the Visitor Centre, take the opportunity to discover new things to do in our great region.”
The T-Rex model currently at the Greater Shepparton Visitor Centre, can take several kids and adults sitting on it at one time to pose for pictures. It measures 1.5 metres wide, over 6 metres long and 1.5 metres high and weighing 150kg. Whilst in the centre enjoy the dino themed children’s activities and check out the new dinosaur plush toys.
T-Rex can be visited at the Greater Shepparton Visitor Centre, Ground Floor, 530 Wyndham Street, Shepparton, open every day 9am to 5pm, until Monday 24 June 2024.
