If you are travelling down Tatura’s main street at night you will notice a brighter difference, after the trees lining the street have been illuminated with bud lighting.
The lighting was fitted through 10 trees along Hogan Street in a bid to improve and enhance the streetscape and atmosphere at night for traders and patrons.
Greater Shepparton City Council’s Bud Lighting Project, funded by the State Government’s Outdoor Dining and Entertainment Package, and has seen a selection of trees in the central business district illuminated with bud lighting, similar to fairy lighting. This project has also seen trees lit up in some of our small towns, including Mooroopna and Murchison.
Council’s Director Infrastructure, Gary Randhawa, said the Bud Lighting Project has been well received by all.
“This project has supported a large range of businesses and has allowed the community to enjoy more of our outdoor spaces at night, particularly now in the winter months,” he said.
“Council would like to thank the State Government for making the Bud Lighting Project possible. We hope residents and visitors enjoy this new visual improvement and take the time to visit our other small towns to see the lights in action.”
