Greater Shepparton City Council would like to advise motorists that the Watt Road Bridge at Mooroopna will be closed temporarily Tuesday 19 September between 8.45am and 4.00pm.
Motorists are advised to take an alternative route if they usually travel across the back road between Mooroopna and Kialla.
Part of the surface on the Watt Bridge has failed and is in need of immediate repair. The repair will require the removal of a section of the seal and likely replacement of some decking planks, before the damaged surface can be repaired with hotmix.
It is intended to close the bridge tomorrow morning immediately after the morning peak at approximately 8.45am and subject to the extent of the damage and required repair, reopen the bridge in time for the afternoon peak at around 3.30-4.00pm.
