Greater Shepparton City Council would like to advise the community of upcoming concrete kerb renewal and drainage works along the northbound traffic lane of Wyndham Street in Shepparton, north of the Nixon Street intersection.
These works will rectify and renew damaged and defective concrete kerb and channel, and will also include the installation of stormwater pits and pipes to relieve current drainage issues in this location of Wyndham Street.
The works will commence on Monday 13 May 2024 and are anticipated to be completed over a four week duration, between the hours of 6am and 3.30pm Monday to Friday, weather permitting. Wyndham Street motorists can expect:
The footpath will remain open for pedestrian use, as well as maintaining pedestrian access to adjoining businesses.
For the period of the construction works, vehicle access to the staff/customer car park at the rear of the Wyndham Street businesses will be closed, and access will only be available from Welsford Street (see map on the right).
Council requests that businesses, residents, motorists and the community take additional care when travelling in the area during these works. Motorists and pedestrians are asked to obey all worksite and advisory signage, including traffic controllers, and are encouraged to use alternate routes where possible.
