Greater Shepparton City Council has completed upgrades to the Water Tower Gardens public toilets in McLennan Street, Mooroopna and they are now re opened to the public.
Work on the refurbishment of the Water Tower Gardens public amenities building commenced in March and has seen the facility modernised and refurbished to meet current accessibility standards for public amenities. An external facelift has provided a modern look consistent with the overall Masterplan for the precinct.
Greater Shepparton City Council Director Infrastructure Phil Hoare said Council was pleased to deliver another major upgrade project for the community and visitors to the region with the functionality, amenity and safety of these public toilets greatly enhanced as a result of these works.
“The refurbished public amenities building in Mooroopna now provides a modern and comfortable facility whilst ensuring current accessibility standards are met. It is great to see another project delivered in Mooroopna as part of the overall Masterplan to help improve the appeal and functionality of McLennan Street. This year Mooroopna has seen the completion of the Mooroopna War Memorial, a major upgrade to Ferrari Park parking area and landscaping in various areas along with intersection works and maintenance of the Watt Road Bridge with more projects to come this financial year,” Mr Hoare said.
“Council thanks everyone for their patience during the redevelopment and I’m sure the community will appreciate the benefits from these refurbished facilities in the heart of Mooroopna,” said Mr Hoare.
