Council advises of upcoming works at the intersection of Andrew Fairley Avenue / Lockwood Road / Old Dookie Road and the SPC entrance.
The works will include upgrading the current roundabout to a full signalised intersection that allows full truck turning movements in each direction and increases safety for all users; in particular regular pedestrian traffic.
South-east bound traffic on Andrew Fairley Avenue will be detoured from Wednesday 29 March through to Thursday 6 April. Traffic travelling towards Lockwood Road and Old Dookie Road will also be impacted.
Lockwood Road will be closed to North-bound traffic from Broomfield Street up to the roundabout of Andrew Fairley Avenue / Old Dookie Road / Lockwood Road from 7.00am to 5.00pm on Thursday 30 March.
Access into SPC and the adjacent homes and businesses will be maintained for the duration of works, however please expect there will be delays and detours in place and consider alternative routes.
The intersection will be under strict traffic management throughout the duration of works and Council reminds residents to obey all traffic management direction and signage.
For further information, please visit the project page on our website or phone Council on 03 5832 9700.
