Works to commence at Pine Lodge Cemetery

Stage 1 expansion works will commence at the Pine Lodge Cemetery on Tuesday 26 April and are expected to complete by the end of June.

These works form part of the Pine Lodge Masterplan, and will include:

  • New sealed access road linking existing cemetery to new cemetery area
  • New sealed car parking area
  • Temporary crushed rock car parking area
  • Shaping of the earth stockpile to create sculptured feature mounds
  • Construction of a rain garden
  • Creation of a new burial section infrastructure including concrete pathways

Greater Shepparton City Council’s Director Infrastructure Steve Bowmaker said the works will enable the facility to continue to meet the needs of the community and is pleased to work with the Cemetery Trust on this project.

“We thank the community and stakeholders for their patience during these works,” Mr Bowmaker said.

The cemetery will continue to operate as normal during these works.
