Hume Region Freight Strategies
The Council has endorsed the RDA - Freight Directions in the Hume Strategy and the MAV – Hume Region Planning for Freight Pilot reports.
The RDA report provides high level strategic directions for freight in the Hume Region. It outlines key elements for further development of the transport network, infrastructure and a framework for the operation of freight and logistics to progress within the region.
The MAV report evaluated freight impacted local road networks and established future strategic freight routes. Greater Shepparton submitted 18 freight network upgrade projects for inclusion in the regional priority list.
The Hume Region Freight Strategies were endorsed by the Council on the 18 February 2014.
