Cr Kim O’Keeffe re-elected Mayor for Greater Shepparton City Council

At tonight’s Special Council Meeting, Councillor Kim O’Keeffe was re-elected Mayor of Greater Shepparton for the coming 12 months.

This is Cr O’Keeffe’s second term as Mayor.

Councillor Shelley Sutton was elected Deputy Mayor for the coming 12 months.

This is Cr Sutton’s first term as Deputy Mayor.

Cr O’Keeffe gave the following address at the special meeting:

“I am very honoured to have been re-elected as the Mayor for Greater Shepparton for a second term.

I would like to thank my fellow Councillors for re-electing me, and also for their support over the past 12 months in my first year as Mayor.

I am extremely grateful for the encouragement and unwavering support of my family and friends, and I would also like to extend my gratitude to the people of Greater Shepparton for giving me this opportunity, and for their enthusiasm over the past 12 months. I will continue to do my very best in this role to work hard and achieve positive outcomes for Greater Shepparton and the members of our community.”

Also discussed at the meeting was the adoption of the Mayoral position description.
