Greater Shepparton City Council wishes to advise the community that drainage construction works are scheduled to commence on Saturday 1 April in the Verney Road - Balaclava Road roundabout, with works programmed to be completed by Thursday 13 April 2017.
The works, planned to coincide with the school holiday period, are part of the overall Verney Road upgrade and will see the roundabout closed to through traffic during the construction period.
Pedestrian access will be available across the roundabout and affected residents and businesses will be provided access to their properties. All businesses will remain operational and accessible.
Greater Shepparton City Council Director Infrastructure Steve Bowmaker acknowledges that the works will cause a temporary inconvenience in the area and asks for the community’s compliance with all traffic management signage.
Elm Terrace, Clarke Court, Crestwood Grove and Ivanhoe Court can be accessed by turning into Ash Street from New Dookie Road then turning north on Conifer Street (along the milk bar and pizzeria) and exiting onto Verney Road through Birch Street.
Project updates and a traffic management plan will be available on Council’s website.
Residents can also sign up on Council’s website to receive regular email updates.
