Meet Damon, a strikingly beautiful, almost 2-year-old Husky with a quiet, soulful nature and eyes that seem to hold a lifetime of untold stories. Behind his calm demeanor is a gentle boy longing for love, patience, and a place to truly call home.

Unlike the typical boisterous Husky, Damon is on the softer side — sweet, reserved, and deeply affectionate once he feels safe. He adores toys, melts for a good pat, and has a heart that’s eager to trust. He’s still finding his confidence, so he’ll need a family willing to guide him with kindness and structure as he settles in.

True to his breed, Damon will need back-to-basic training — but he’s food-motivated and quick to learn, especially with gentle, positive reinforcement. He’s not suited for homes with cats or small animals due to his high prey drive, but he could be a beautiful companion for the right home.

Damon has energy to burn and a curious Husky spirit, so he’ll need daily enrichment and a yard with tall, secure fencing — this boy is an escape artist in the making if he gets bored! 🌀

3. The Shepparton Animal Shelter will contact you to talk about adopting. If the animal is available, an appointment will be made for you to attend the Shepparton Animal Shelter for a 'meet and greet', which can take about 30 minutes.

Adoption Commitment

The Shepparton Animal Shelter encourages new owners of adopted animals to consider their lifestyle and commitment carefully before adoption. We wish to see all adopted animals find their forever homes. However we understand that sometimes, an adoption does not work out. If you are no longer able to care for your adopted animal, for any reason, please contact the Shepparton Animal Shelter.

Adoption Guarantee

If a dog, puppy, cat or kitten is not acceptable to a purchaser because of health, physical or other reasons (excluding accidents), which is supported by a statement from a Veterinary practitioner, within seven days of purchase, the Animal Shelter will accept the animal back and refund the purchase price of the animal.

If a dog, puppy, cat or kitten is returned within three days for any other reason, the Animal Shelter will refund 75% of the purchase price or offer a replacement animal with the same guarantee.

If a dog, puppy, cat or kitten dies or is euthanased as a result of a disease that is traceable to the point of sale, the Animal Shelter will refund the purchase price or offer a replacement animal with the same guarantee.
