Maggie is a beautiful 2-year-old red merle Heeler with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. She can be a little timid at first, but with patience and positive encouragement, she quickly blossoms into a sweet and affectionate companion.

This lovely girl adores balls, tasty treats, and plenty of pats, winning her over is easy with kindness and a little playtime! Maggie is incredibly gentle by nature and has lovely, polite manners with other dogs.

With slow and respectful introductions, Maggie may also be able to live with cats. She could potentially suit a home with children, but would benefit from a calm environment and guidance as she builds her confidence.

Maggie would thrive with some back-to-basics training to help her continue growing into her best self. She is eager to please and responds beautifully to gentle, positive reinforcement.

3. The Shepparton Animal Shelter will contact you to talk about adopting. If the animal is available, an appointment will be made for you to attend the Shepparton Animal Shelter for a 'meet and greet', which can take about 30 minutes.

Adoption Commitment

The Shepparton Animal Shelter encourages new owners of adopted animals to consider their lifestyle and commitment carefully before adoption. We wish to see all adopted animals find their forever homes. However we understand that sometimes, an adoption does not work out. If you are no longer able to care for your adopted animal, for any reason, please contact the Shepparton Animal Shelter.

Adoption Guarantee

If a dog, puppy, cat or kitten is not acceptable to a purchaser because of health, physical or other reasons (excluding accidents), which is supported by a statement from a Veterinary practitioner, within seven days of purchase, the Animal Shelter will accept the animal back and refund the purchase price of the animal.

If a dog, puppy, cat or kitten is returned within three days for any other reason, the Animal Shelter will refund 75% of the purchase price or offer a replacement animal with the same guarantee.

If a dog, puppy, cat or kitten dies or is euthanased as a result of a disease that is traceable to the point of sale, the Animal Shelter will refund the purchase price or offer a replacement animal with the same guarantee.
