This fun-loving boy is looking for a patient and understanding home that can help him learn the ropes and build his confidence. Carter is still working on his manners and training, and while he's enthusiastic about life, listening isn't always his strongest skill! 😅🐾

Walks with Carter are never boring! He's known for pulling on the lead and occasionally deciding that rolling around is far more exciting than walking in a straight line. 😂🐕 A family committed to ongoing training will help this clever boy become the best version of himself.

Carter can be a little jumpy and is easily startled, so he's best suited to a home with children aged 10 years and older who can respect his space and help him feel safe 🏡💙.

While he doesn't have a particularly strong food or toy drive, Carter has something even better... a love for affection! 🥹💕 This sweet boy absolutely adores pats and will happily soak up attention from his favourite people. A good scratch and some quality time together are often the quickest way to win him over 😍🐶.

Carter may be able to live with other cats and dogs, provided introductions are slow, controlled, and allow him plenty of time to adjust 🐱🐶🤝.

Adoption Commitment

The Shepparton Animal Shelter encourages new owners of adopted animals to consider their lifestyle and commitment carefully before adoption. We wish to see all adopted animals find their forever homes. However we understand that sometimes, an adoption does not work out. If you are no longer able to care for your adopted animal, for any reason, please contact the Shepparton Animal Shelter.

Adoption Guarantee

If a dog, puppy, cat or kitten is not acceptable to a purchaser because of health, physical or other reasons (excluding accidents), which is supported by a statement from a Veterinary practitioner, within seven days of purchase, the Animal Shelter will accept the animal back and refund the purchase price of the animal.

If a dog, puppy, cat or kitten is returned within three days for any other reason, the Animal Shelter will refund 75% of the purchase price or offer a replacement animal with the same guarantee.

If a dog, puppy, cat or kitten dies or is euthanased as a result of a disease that is traceable to the point of sale, the Animal Shelter will refund the purchase price or offer a replacement animal with the same guarantee.
