Princess Park Multi Use Events Pavilion

The Princess Park clubrooms were extensively damaged by flood waters during the October 2022 flood event and deemed unfit for use. Since this time, Council has worked closely alongside the relevant user groups to determine the most appropriate way forward.
Due to its location, it was agreed that the new pavilion will be built above the flood level, to protect it from damage during any future flood events.
The new Princess Park Multi Use Events Pavilion will include change rooms, trainers’ rooms and amenities that meet both AFL, Netball Victoria and Cricket Victoria requirements.
A large social room with commercial kitchen and glass frontage views over the oval, umpires’ facilities, together with a 3m wide undercover veranda area will also be provided. The new pavilion will also include tiered seating and a grassy mound to take advantage of the elevated views for spectators.
Greater Shepparton City Council awarded the contract for the design and construction of the Princess Park Multi Use Events Pavilion to local company Moretto Building for $4,449,973.00 ex GST.
Council will minimise any future flooding risk to the Princess Park facilities, while also meeting the needs of the user groups. We are confident this new facility will do this while positively serving the current and future members for years to come.
