Public Notices include notifications about development consents and certificates, proposed developments, changes to Council meetings, release and/or sale of abandoned vehicles, intention to grant licence, and public exhibitions and consultations.

COUNCIL MEETING - MAY 2025

A Council Meeting will be held on Tuesday 27 May 2025 at 3.00pm. The meeting will be held in the Council Boardroom, 90 Welsford Street, Shepparton.

The meeting will be open to members of the public to attend. A live stream of the meeting will also be made available, and can be accessed via Council's Facebook Page

All care is taken to maintain your privacy; however, as a visitor in the public gallery, it is assumed that your consent is given in the event that your image is broadcast to the public. It is also assumed that your consent is given to the use and disclosure of any information that you share at the meeting (including personal or sensitive information) to any person who access those recordings or Minutes.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO LEASE LAND SHEPPARTON AERODROME

The Greater Shepparton City Council gives notice in accordance with Section 115 of the Local Government Act 2020, of its proposed intention to enter into a lease agreement with World Fuel Services (Australia) Pty Ltd over part of Council owned land at the Shepparton Aerodrome, 7810 Goulburn Valley Highway, Kialla known as Fuel Site 1A South.

The purpose of the lease will be for the installation of a Jet A-1 Fuel Facility with the lease period to expire on 30 June 2029, with a further term of 10 years, expiring 30 June 2039.

Any person may make a written submission on the proposed lease.  Submissions must be received by 5.00pm on Friday, 20 June 2025.  Submissions should be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, City of Greater Shepparton, Locked Bag 1000, Shepparton 3632 or emailed to council@shepparton.vic.gov.au with the subject line “Proposed Lease – Fuel Site 1A South”.

A person making a submission may request to appear in person, or be represented by a person specified in the submission, at a meeting to be heard in support of the submission.

PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE RENEWAL WORKS - LAKE AMAROO, KIALLA

Greater Shepparton City Council would like to advise the community of upcoming pedestrian bridge renewal works along the Lake Amaroo (middle lake) shared path, Tandou Court and Mokoan Avenue. Kialla.

These works are scheduled to commence on Monday 2 June 2025 and are anticipated to be completed by Friday 13 June 2025, weather permitting.

Residents can expect:

  • The shared path will be closed between Tandou Court and Mokoan Avenue.
  • The pedestrian bridge will be closed during the works.
  • The construction site will be temporarily fenced throughout the works.
  • Trucks and a crane will be required to access the site via Tandou Court.

Council requests that residents and path users take additional care within the vicinity of these works, obey all worksite and advisory signage, including traffic controllers. Council encourages the use of alternate routes where possible.

FLOOR LEVEL SURVEY TO IMPROVE FLOOD PREPAREDNESS

Greater Shepparton City Council has successfully obtained a grant from Emergency Management Victoria under the National Partnership Agreement for Disaster Risk Reduction. This initiative, in collaboration with the Goulburn Broken Catchment Management Authority, aims to enhance flood risk management in the region.

From mid-April to mid-September, Onleys Consulting Pty Ltd will conduct surveys across key areas, measuring floor levels from front doorsteps (no entry into homes). Data collected will improve flood mapping, emergency planning, and insurance assessments. Surveyors will carry identification and a Council-authorised letter.

PROPOSED DISCONTINUANCE AND SALE OF DOODY (ALSO KNOWN AS DOODY COURT) STREET, SHEPPARTON

Greater Shepparton City Council, gives public notice acting under Clause 3 of Schedule 10 to the Local Government Act 1989 (Vic), that it intends to discontinue the road at Doody Street, Shepparton, shown hatched on the plan below. Further, subject to its discontinuance, Council gives 4 weeks' notice, in accordance with section 114(2) of the Local Government Act 2020 (Vic), of its intention to sell the discontinued road.

The proposal is that Council discontinue the road, and in accordance with the requirements of the Local Government Act 2020 (Vic), sell the land by private treaty to Lascorp Investment Group Pty Ltd ACN 064 124 349, or entities associated with Lascorp. The land must be consolidated with the title for 221-229 Numurkah Road, Shepparton 3630.

Any person may make a written submission on the proposal. Submissions must be received by 5.00pm on Monday, 12 May 2025. ADJUSTED DEVELOPMENT CONTRIBUTION RATES FOR THE SHEPPARTON NORTH EAST PRECINCT

The development contribution rates for the Shepparton North East Precinct are adjusted annually for the duration of the Shepparton North East Development Contributions Plan. The following rates were adjusted on 13 November 2024 and are applicable from 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2025. These rates should be read in conjunction with Schedule 4 to the Development Contributions Plan Overlay in the Greater Shepparton Planning Scheme.
