Who is Breed To Succeed for?
While there will be plenty for even the most experienced horse breeder, this event is perfect for new breeders, mare owners or even those outside of harness racing that think they might like to take the journey in an affordable and family-friendly sport.
What can I learn?
Panel sessions with world-renown experts, sharing their expertise on a range of breeding issues:
- Dr Kath McIntosh hosts Dr Angus McKinnon and Dr Jim Vasey, talking about equine reproductive and health issues, including newborn leg conformation, frozen semen, foal heats and more
- Author-breeder, Nick Hooper, leads a panel on sire and mare research, pedigree matching techniques and more, featuring Peter Judd (Benstud Standardbreds), Brett Coffey (Alabar) and John Coffey (ASBA & Llowalong Farms)
Who will I meet?
- HBV committee members and other tenured breeders - if you’re a new breeder, this is the place to network, find a mentor or a broodmare!
- Experts from a wide range of breeding businesses at our trade fair - see below for the full list
