Now, in addition to featuring guest speakers and films centered around the main theme chosen for the year, the event also emphasizes championing local communities and neighborhoods. One of its primary objectives is to raise awareness of climate change within the community and empower individuals to address climactic changes at a local level. This approach aims to make local communities more resilient in the face of future challenges and upheavals.

The festival promises an exciting lineup, including short films, captivating speakers, an opportunity to inspect electric cars, and a Trash Sorting Game. However, the main highlight will be Tatura's very own Masterchef contestant, Matt Hopcraft. He will demonstrate cooking with induction cooktops and explore Zero Waste Recipes, along with support from the Waste Team from Greater Shepparton City Council. Moreover, attendees will gain insights into the advantages of all-electric living, and Freja Leonard from Friends of the Earth will inspire the audience to shift away from gas usage and embrace cleaner and more efficient energy sources.

Transition Tatura once again extended its challenge to the school children of the Goulburn Valley, Victoria, Australia, inviting them to participate in an Art competition with the theme "Green Energy or Brown." The competition encompasses various art categories, such as Visual Art, Performance Art, Literature, and Media Arts. During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to meet the talented young artists and admire their creative efforts. A Q&A session is scheduled from 2:00 to 3:00 pm to allow interaction with the young artists. While the Schools Art Challenge Presentation is free to attend, it is encouraged to register on the Ticketbooth site beforehand to help organizers estimate the number of attendees.
