Fashions and Talent: one most entertaining way of understanding people from other cultures and traditions is to observe their fashions and entertainment. Immigrants, Refugees and Settlers all bring a lot of things from their country, like different types of food, clothes, cultural practices, spirituality, home skills, horticultural and farming methodology and sporting achievements.

It is important element of social cohesion to support and encourage cultural understanding and strength so that we may celebrate together as people experience other cultures. They learn about different things, such as different expressions of worship, different foods, different types of clothing and cultural practices in family and society. This strengthens multiculturalism in Australia.

As our ongoing commitment to community development and strengthening multiculturalism, Ethnic Council of Shepparton and District with support from other agencies will continue the Kids and Teens Fashion and Talent Show due to popularity and success of this community building activity.

This event has proven to be very popular last year and especially new arrival communities really appreciated the opportunity they had to share their cultural identities.
