VAGTC / DET Gifted Identification Rural Seminar
The Victorian Association for Gifted and Talented Children (VAGTC) is conducting a series of Department of Education (DET) funded, specialized seminars across regional Victoria for 2016.

The seminars will suit K-12 teachers, educational leaders, early childhood professionals, parents and carers, and are presented by educators and experts in the field of gifted education.
For Parents/Carers 7pm-9pm: This seminar offers resources and tools for parenting your
gifted child, and strategies in fostering positive relationships with your
child’s school.
For Teacher's/Educators 1pm-4pm: This seminar offers information on identifying and supporting gifted students in the classroom.
Note: The VAGTC teacher seminars are aligned to the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers (APST) and meet the requirements under the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
In order to receive your attendance certificate and fulfill the requirements
of your VIT data, you are required to complete a pre- and post-evaluation
survey.
Your answers will help us guide you in your learning on the topic of
identification, understanding and support of gifted and talented children.
At the end of the seminar, we will send you a post-evaluation survey link to
your email address. Please ensure you bring along your laptop.
