Greater Shepparton City Council invites community members to attend the Greater Shepparton Australia Day events taking place throughout Greater Shepparton on Sunday 26 January 2025.
In Summary
Events will be held in Shepparton, Mooroopna, Tatura, Dookie and Murchison, to bring community together to recognise residents who have made significant contributions throughout the year, provided exceptional service to the local area, or had a lasting positive impact on the region over time.
The events will include guest speakers, entertainment, refreshments and the presentation of the 2025 Greater Shepparton Australia Day Awards. Each event will announce the award winners for their respective towns, whilst the Shepparton event will present the overall winners of the Awards for the municipality.
Greater Shepparton City Council Mayor, Councillor Shane Sali, said the Events are a chance to bring community together to honour individuals who make a positive impact on their communities.
“Our region is home to many individuals who devote their time and energy to supporting others and enhance their communities. It is important that we take the time to recognise their efforts and contributions,” he said.
“These awards shine a spotlight on the unsung heroes, those who quietly and selflessly make a difference. We are excited to honour these remarkable individuals during this year’s events across the region.”
