Chris Teitzel was appointed Acting CEO at tonights Council meeting.

Chris Teitzel was appointed Acting CEO at tonight’s Council meeting.
Mr Teitzel will replace outgoing CEO Gavin Cator, who finishes up in the role on 3 July.
Chair of the Panel in the absence of the Mayor, Cr Michael Polan congratulated Chris on his appointment.
“We are pleased to appoint Chris Teitzel to the acting role as we believe he has the experience and knowledge to ensure Council continues to deliver a high level of service to the community while we seek to fill the position on a permanent basis,” Cr Polan said.
“I look forward to working with Chris to continue to advocate for the needs of our community.
Mr Teitzel thanked Councillors for their confidence in his ability to undertake the role and said he was looking forward to the challenge.
“It is an honour to be appointed to this role and I look forward to working with our staff and Councillors as we work to achieve the goals of our Council Plan.”
Chris is currently Council’s Director Business.
Mr Teitzel will take up the role from 4 July.

Chris came to Shepparton from North Lakes in Queensland with a wealth of knowledge and experience in Local Government.
Chris is a strategic, community focused individual with exceptional corporate, governance and operation planning skills. Chris has held many senior roles including CEO, Director Community and Environmental Services, Director Corporate Services and Manager Finance as well a position of Commercial Manager in the private sector.
Chris enjoys time with his wife Diane and three children, mountain bike riding, camping, four wheel driving, swimming, golf and reading.
