The Aquamoves indoor pool hall will be closed from Monday 4 January while works are undertaken to resurface the pool deck.
Greater Shepparton City Council Director Community Kaye Thomson said the closure would apply to the indoor leisure pool, indoor 25 metre pool, hydro pool, spas and sauna.
“We have chosen to undertake works in the pool hall during a time that allows us to provide alternative pool facilities in the form of the outdoor 50m pool, outdoor leisure pool and Splash Park. We also have the seasonal outdoor pools at Mooroopna, Merrigum and Tatura with a huge variety of beach and water activities occurring throughout the month of January,” Ms Thomson said.
“The wet area changeroom works, which are also currently being undertaken, will be completed soon after the pool hall reopens and will provide a greatly improved facility for our community.
“We would like to thank our patrons for being patient while the works are being undertaken but once the works are completed the indoor area will have a safer surface for all pool users.”
The pool hall is expected to re-open in late January 2016.
