Greater Shepparton City Council has more than 100 jobs available for people from the Goulburn Valley region, funded under the State Government’s Working for Victoria program.
More than 60 people from the Goulburn Valley region have already started work at Council since the program was originally funded in June, working across a broad range of departments.
Jobs currently available include activities in the municipality’s parks and gardens, roads and infrastructure, community services, customer service and other areas of Council.
The roles are set at 6-month contracts.
Those wishing to apply for one of the roles must register with the Sidekicker platform.
A Sidekicker registration tutorial video and ‘how to’ guides in seven languages can be found here.
Once Goulburn Valley locals are signed up for Sidekicker, Council is willing to assist them through their application and link them with available jobs at Council.
If you are interested in gaining assistance from Council with registering, or, if you have previously registered with Sidekicker, but would like assistance linking with a job, please contact Council’s Working for Victoria project manager, Liam Moller, during business hours on: 0434 936 372
“COVID-19 has affected and will continue to affect many jobs throughout Victoria and the Goulburn Valley,” Council Director Infrastructure Phil Hoare said.
“As a major employer, Council is in a fortunate position where it can offer support, via the Working for Victoria program, to people in the Goulburn Valley who are looking for work.
“We encourage you to sign up with Sidekicker and contact Council if you need any assistance. Council can work with you and Sidekicker to find a suitable job.”
More information on the Working for Victoria program can be found here.
