Artwork donated to breastfeeding café

The Greater Shepparton Breastfeeding Café is now the proud owner of artwork donated by a local mum’s group ‘Being Me.’

‘Being Me’ program participants painted the canvas as part of their fortnightly sessions, which have a focus on mindfulness and supporting each other.

The canvas was designed around the symbolic meaning of the circle which represents unity, wholeness, inclusion and to protect. This was a great foundation to complete the canvas and what the Being Me Program represents. The circle represents a life's journey....a journey of motherhood.

The canvas was painted to represent mothers being the centre, sharing friendships, guiding each other through the journey and joining together through experiences.

The Breastfeeding Café runs weekly on a Thursday from the Community Centre at Riverside Plaza. A Maternal and Child Health Nurse provides support for breastfeeding mums in a comfortable environment.
