The 2015 Winter City Market will see the launch of “Councillor Catch Ups”, providing an informal way to have chat to your representatives.
Over the next 12 months the Councillors will be heading out across the municipality to hear what you have to say, answer questions and provide some insight regarding current Council priorities and initiatives.
“As the elected members of the Greater Shepparton community we are eager to chat to as many people as possible”, explains Greater Shepparton City Council Mayor Dennis Patterson. “We want to go where the people are so that they feel comfortable in asking us questions and finding out information. We need to hear any ideas or concerns directly from the community. We’re wanting to make it easier for people to have conversations with Council.”
The first Councillor Catch Up will occur tomorrow at the Winter City Market from 11:00am to 12:00pm in the Maude Street Mall near the Council marquee under the rotunda, so come on down and make the most of the opportunity to talk to those who represent you.
If your group, school or town are eager to have a catch up with the Councillors please contact Council’s Marketing and Communications Team to organise a date and time that suits.
The team can be contacted on 5832 9537, communications@shepparton.vic.gov.au or drop us a line on Facebook.
