All members of the community are welcome to attend the family friendly event, giving everyone the opportunity to make a difference to our region and highlight to our community the significant negative impacts littering and illegal dumping has socially, economically and environmentally.

Greater Shepparton City Council Mayor Dinny Adem advises residents it is important to look after our rivers and wetlands.

“Residents need to be aware that the costs of cleaning up our rivers and bushland are not just measured in dollar terms, with the damage to the environment often irreversible. Littering and illegal dumping also has negative impacts on our tourism and local businesses,” said Cr Adem.

Come along and help protect our parkland, rivers and bushland, when the litter is gone, nature can carry on.
