Greater Shepparton City Council is pleased to announce the appointment of Lesley Hart to the Action Group for the remainder of its current term ending June 2018.
Council recently sought nominations to fill a vacancy for a community member on the Goulburn Valley Highway Bypass Action Group.
Ms. Hart is a principal lawyer and partner of a law firm in Shepparton. As a professional operating from within the CBD, as a parent, and as a member of the Shepparton community, the development and amenity of the city is a topic close to her heart.
Ms. Hart also sits on the Committee for Greater Shepparton, which champions the development of the city. She strongly believes that the Shepparton Bypass is a vital stepping-stone towards the revitalisation of the Shepparton CBD and a key transport link for the State given Shepparton's central location on the North-South and East-West transport routes.
The purpose of the Group is to provide advice to Greater Shepparton City Council on the development of the proposed Goulburn Valley Highway Shepparton Bypass. The Group has representatives from neighbouring municipalities and six community representatives. The community representative positions are voting members of the Action Group and are appointed for a two year term.
